Beginner Guitar Workshop I with Josh

This class is designed to teach the basic rudiments of music as it applies to the guitar. Students will learn correct posture, picking technique, fretting technique, basic rhythm patterns, harmony/chords, melody/scales, sight reading, ear training, songs in multiple genres, and how to play with other musicians. $150 - for students with their own guitar. A rental guitar for the week is $25. There is also a $10 materials fee. Combine with the Harvard Cookin' Girl's camp in the morning to create a full day camp for the week! We will even arrange bringing your child from their camp to ours.

Musical Theater I with Sara

Designed to leave the individual confident in their ability to perform an audition, this camp will lead students through preparing an audition song and monologue as well as interactive acting exercises. Week 1: Voice/Acting 1 - Students will start with the rudiments of breathing, vocal expression and freer singing. During the week, students will learn both a solo audition song as well as experiment with some choral work. Through beginning acting exercises, improvisation exercises and learning a scene from a popular musical, students will learn the rudiments of physical expression and acting. Fee is $240 and includes lunch each day from Sorella's.

Musical Theater II with Sara

Designed to leave the individual confident in their ability to perform an audition, this camp will lead students through preparing an audition song and monologue as well as interactive acting exercises. Week 2: Voice/Acting 2 - More advanced techniques of singing and projection. Focus is on creating a singer whose expression is free and direct. Students will either continue further work on an audition song (for those who took Voice/Acting 1) or will learn an audition song and experiment in choral work. This class goes further in technical aspects of acting including projection and diction. Fee is $240 and includes lunch each day from Sorella's.

Cello Ensemble with Galina

This camp is for beginners to advanced beginning students. Beginners will learn the basics of playing cello and gain experience playing in an ensemble. Advanced beginners will be challenged to improve their ensemble playing skills and enjoy working with other students to make beautiful music. This is a great way to get a jump start on school orchestra programs in the fall. Fee is $200. If you combine this camp with the Harvard Cookin' Girl's camp in the morning, you can create a full day camp for the week! We will even arrange bringing your child from their camp to ours.

Summer String Camp with Kelly

This week long workshop is designed for beginning to intermediate violin students looking to have fun and improve their music skills. We will focus on one to two different topics each day. These will include Vibrato, Sight Reading, Ensemble Playing, Improvising, fiddling, and the study of key signatures. If your child will be participating in school orchestras or auditioning for Youth Symphony this camp is a great start. Fee for each individual week is $240. Includes lunch each day from Sorella's
