Dave Soldau

Mr. Soldau graduated from San Diego State University with a B.M. (Bachelor in General Music) degree. He has participated with diverse performing groups including: The Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Combo, The African Ensemble, and Choir. He was one of twelve students (the only percussionist) to conduct an original composition with the S.D.S.U. Symphony Orchestra.

Mr. Soldau has taught for many years in schools as Director of Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Jazz and Percussion Ensembles, with Jazz Standards, and has performed selfcomposed material. He adapts to all learning styles and encourages students to bring in songs they want to learn to play.

Dave teaches Rock, Funk, Jazz, Brazilian, Afro-Cuban, Blues and Classical styles. When not teaching music Dave Soldau occupies himself as a SCUBA instructor. To see videos of Dave playing, visit YOUTUBE: "Dave Soldau".
