Drew’s dream has been to inspire and help young drummers find love in music and percussion. He offers personalized lessons for novice to beginner level drummers to reach their goals, no matter how big or small. Drew has been a performing percussionist for 15 years and is new to the La Jolla area! Drew specializes in both concert style percussion as well as marching percussion with a focus on rudimentary skills and technique. The most important factor, however, is that playing drums is fun, and students should enjoy their lessons and their journey through music.

Drew grew up in Tampa, Florida, playing drums in middle and high school. He then went on to acquire a Master’s in Communications and a minor in percussion studies at High Point University in North Carolina. There he was able to perform alongside other talented and passionate musicians and was able to be a leading member in several ensembles. He performed in the University’s community orchestra, wind ensemble, percussion ensemble, and marching band. Drew’s love for percussion is something he wants to share with the world and he strives to bring that love to students!
