Kate Speck is a classically trained cellist, composer, arranger, music producer, and educator. Using a combination of various pedagogy methods and real world experiences, Kate creates lesson plans that help students reach goals that are important to them. Whether you are looking to play or compose for enjoyment, or prepare for a career in music, Kate will give you tangible tools to reach your aspirations!

A professional cellist, Kate is a multi-instrumentalist who composes and arranges music for special events and media. They have over 200 sheet music titles published. From paper to performance, Kate leads a diverse music career and is looking forward to sharing these practical skills and lessons with you!

Kate received their Bachelor’s in Music Education and Performance with a concentration in cello from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. After graduating, Kate spent five years in Cleveland, Ohio where they were a resident teaching artist at Rainey Institute. Kate moved to the San Diego area in the fall of 2023.
