As a certified member of the Music Teacher’s Association of California, Michael has many years of experience teaching from their state-wide standardized syllabus. And whether it’s a form of popular music (rock/pop, movies/TV, broadway, cartoons, video games, memes, etc.), or a more complicated form (baroque, classical, romantic, 20th century or jazz), Michael’s main focus is to provide a custom fit lesson plan where you learn what you want to learn in a fun and informative way. He also offers certification in the Certificate of Merit program.

Michael’s musical education started with piano lessons at age 5 and culminated with his Bachelors of Music degree with a concentration in jazz studies from Cal State Long Beach. He has won multiple gold medals at the Baroque, Bach, Mozart, Classical, Romantic, and 20th century festivals, and has played rock/pop for shows, musicals, and studio recordings. He has also written and recorded many commercial jingles for companies such as Amazon, McDonald’s, Diet Coke, Toyota, Hewlett-Packard, Burger King, and many more!
