Molly Chen Grieco
Piano, Clarinet, Stage Etiquette
Molly's approach to teaching is rooted in traditional methods that
focus on fundamentals. Her 35+ years of teaching experience
allows her to adapt the style individually, making a student's
learning experience fun, and easy to understand. This approach
has led her students to win prestigious awards such as the
Young Chopin Competition and Beethoven Competition in
Vienna, and many of her students have gone on to study at elite
institutions such as Princeton, Harvard, and Julliard.
She holds a Bachelor of Music from the Shanghai Conservatory,
and an Artist Diploma in Conducting from USC School of Music.
Molly was the Principle Clarinetist for the San Diego Symphony,
Music Director for the Catholic Diocese of San Diego, and has
conducted the San Diego Young Artist Orchestra. She has also
taught at SDSU and the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.
Molly resides in both San Diego and Toronto with her family, and
her daughter is a renowned concert pianist.
