Polina Sisman
Piano
I teach piano to children and adults. I teach solfege and music theory. Every minute of our lesson is festive and inspiring. I blend singing, dancing, culinary and gardening analogies to engage different senses. What we learn with joy, we learn forever.
Ms. Polina Sisman was born in Lviv, W. Ukraine, where she earned a master's degree in Music, Pedagogy and Conducting. A Summa Cum Laude graduate, she expanded her musical education by taking advanced classes at SDSU from Professor Nan McDonald.
Ms. Polina has been a member of the Music Teacher Association of California since 1993. Many of her students have won awards at various contests and festivals including Sonata Contests, Southern California Junior Bach Festival and Spring Festival.
Ms. Polina is regularly invited to be an accompanist for Ballet Master Classes in the US, Canada, and Mexico. She enjoys swimming in the ocean, hiking in Julian and South Tyrol, cooking and gardening. You might see her at the concerts together with her husband and her happy students.
