La Jolla Music
summer camp
Terms & COnditions
Introduction
The following Terms and Conditions apply to La Jolla Music Summer Camps in 2025 and is made between between La Jolla Music LLC and its students and the parents/guardians of its students (“the student”). Submission of this form is deemed as acceptance of these terms and Conditions
Communication
All correspondence is sent out to the primary contact person by phone and/or email, and it is appreciated if phone or email is the format you use to contact LJM as well.
Submission of the registration form means a place in the camp has been confirmed. However, if LJM sells out, registrations will be accessed on a first in first served basis.
A minimum of 2 weeks notice will be given in the unlikely event that a camp has to be cancelled by LJM.
It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to make LJM aware of any changes to their contact details. LJM will not be held responsible for any missed communications or missed sessions etc, if this is due to incorrect contact information.
By filling out this form, I agree that I have the authority to do so as the caregiver of the student being registered.
Camp Fees
Camp Fees (per person): Each camp is $300 for 5 days of a half day camp.
The student is not enrolled until tuition is paid.
Tuition will be refunded (less processing fees of $25) only if LJM is notified by the student’s parent/guardian three weeks before camp begins.
No refund or credit will be given for any no-shows. This includes “due to sickness.”
All account and tuition fee related terms and conditions that are agreed upon by becoming a La Jolla Music student are also enforceable under this agreement.
Health and Safety
I, the parent/guardian, agree to not bring my student to camp if they exhibit symptoms or are exposed to others with symptoms of contagious sicknesses (e.g. Chicken pox).
I, the parent/guardian, give permission for the LJM staff to use an appropriate level of contact if my child becomes a harm to themselves or a safety risk to others at any point during the program. I understand that I will be contacted at the nearest possible time from the incident, that LJM staff are trained to deem what is appropriate and not appropriate when looking after children, and that it may result in the removal of my child for the remainder of the day or week.
By agreeing to these terms, I, the parent/guardian, acknowledge that there are unavoidable risks and potential for injury or accident in any activity and that I will follow all instruction by staff while in the camp.
By agreeing to these terms, I, the parent/guardian, release, discharge, and hold harmless La Jolla Music, its directors, staff, volunteers, and any other associated entities from any and all liability for injuries, illnesses, or other damages incurred by the participant during the camp.
In the event of a medical emergency, I, the parent/guardian, authorize the staff of La Jolla Music to obtain medical treatment for my child if I cannot be reached. I agree to be responsible for any medical expenses incurred as a result of treatment.
I, the parent/guardian, understand that my child is expected to follow the rules and guidelines set forth by the camp staff. Failure to comply may result in dismissal from the camp without a refund.
I, the parent/guardian, acknowledge that I am financially responsible for any damage caused by my child to the facilities, equipment, or property of [Your Music School Name] during the camp. I agree to reimburse [Your Music School Name] for the cost of repairs or replacement as deemed necessary by the camp administration.
Other
Each camp is a stand alone program filled with workshops and is different enough that your child may attend more than one camp if desired.
I grant permission for La Jolla Music to take photographs, video recordings, and audio recordings of my child during the camp. I understand that these materials may be used for promotional purposes, including on the school’s website, social media, and other marketing channels.
Conclusion
The Terms and Conditions described above may seem relatively strict but have been discussed at length amongst the LJM leadership with the endeavor or making them as fair as possible for both client and provider. Such guidelines have had to be made and are not a reflection or lack of trust in LJM families. They were made as a response to the small margin of people that have taken advantage and never paid for services rendered that jeopardize the livelihood of LJM teachers and managers. We try to approach each individual case in good faith with an open ear and we hope that you will also approach us in the same manner.
