Dr. Tatev Amiryan

Dr. Amiryan is an award-winning composer, pianist, and music educator. She has 25 years of experience as a professional pianist and composer, and over 15 years of teaching experience. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Composition and Musicology with a minor in Piano, and a DMA Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Composition. She has taught at San Jose State University, University of Silicon Valley, University of Missouri, SAE Institute San Jose, and Crowden Music School in Berkeley. She is also instructing at U.C. San Diego.
Dr. Amiryan communicates theoretical and practical knowledge of music to students in a comprehensible and enjoyable way; to uncover the hidden potential in each student, and guide them along in finding their own, unique voice.
Dr. Amiryan has performed extensively throughout the US, Europe, and UK at prestigious venues and institutions such as Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall; Preston Bradley Hall in Chicago; Santa Clara University; and the Royal College of Music in London, UK
